Normally a monthly roundup, but I’ve been rather busy. So instead, here’s a quick zoom through February, April and May. There was a trip to A&E for me and my knee early in February which left me housebound for a few weeks. After that the trips got much more fun – Manchester for a shoot, Bristol for a weekend and Cornwall for a week. As usual, there was plenty of cake and flowers.
I didn’t go to Cornwall properly until I was 23. That seems hard to believe now I’ve been there a few times. Think of all those years I could’ve been enjoying it for! We went back to Portscatho for a week in April. Rain was forecast, but instead we got bright sunshine pretty much all week. The 800 page book I’d taken with me to entertain my rainy days was left untouched as we excitedly gambolled along the coast (sometimes even without our coats!)
I recently spent a lovely week in Cornwall. We did just enough to feel like we’d seen enough lovely Cornishness, while still feeling like we’d had a damn good rest. Until last summer I’d never been to Cornwall, and I didn’t really understand why people loved it so much. I totally get it now.
Here there are photos from Portscatho, St Mawes, Truro, Falmouth and Trelissick.
